The ‘One’ Rule

Medicines like pain relievers, sleep aids, decongestants, and even prescriptions may contain the same ingredients, such as paracetamol, the active ingredient in TYLENOL®. So, it’s important to read the labels before taking medicines to ensure you do not overdose on paracetamol.

If an overdose is taken or suspected, ring the Poison Information Centre (AUST: 13 11 26; NZ: 0800 764 766) or go the hospital immediately, even if you or your child feels well because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage if left untreated. Keep to the recommended dose.
